Diving Cape Horn

Divers from "IDA" the International Diving Association, through the Tauch Akademie Bayern - Germany, are back in Puerto Williams after succesfully rounding and diving around Cape Horn on board of SV Santa Maria Australis.

For the period of 14 days, the sailing vessel turned out to be the southernmost diving base of the world. The trip was guided by Wolf Kloss as the skipper of the vessel and professional diving guide Jürgen Börroth from Tauchakademie Bayern, Germany.

The divers finished a 2 weeks-long shooting of challenges along the chilean coastline by attempting the rounding of fierce Cape Horn. This new project by Tauch Akademie Bayern has been named "Tauch Expedition am Südlichste Platz der Erde" (Dive Expedition at the Southernmost part of the Earth).
